Pretty Face Painting

Mel: Just because Halloween has passed doesn’t mean we can’t get all fancy for the fun of it! Steph is the mastermind behind this one and I think I’m going to rock this tomorrow.

Stephanie: Before drawing on the wings of the butterfly, dust a base coat of whatever color shadow you’d like. That will be the “backdrop” of color for the wings. I used a shimmery pink (If you want the exact shades available at mac, let me know. I can share that). When drawing the wings, you can be as creative or as simple as you’d like. The only thing to take into consideration is symmetry. I used my black pencil for the wings but you could also use liquid liner. When you’ve drawn them on, pick whichever colors you’d like, that compliment the base color you used first, to add to the wings. Then throw some glitter at it (what, glitter and butterfly wings go hand in hand, right?) and you’re done!
The only thing you have to worry about is your child’s face starting to itch and smearing the makeup…
